Skateboarding & Roller blading: A 10-minute drive, or less, westbound on Mountain Road. $2 fee for 2 1/2 hours (6-8:30PM) on Wednesdays: The park is located in the basement of the South Mountain UB Church basement. It was created to give community kids a safe and legal place to skateboard or just hang out. The park features a NEW FLYBOX WITH KINKED HANDRAIL, lowboxes, NEW SQUARE RAILS, IMPROVED RAMPS, IMPROVED AUDIO SYSTEM, IMPROVED LOUNGE, and lots of other terrain to skate on. A mini halfpipe has also been built.
Swimming: Boiling Springs Pool: A ten minute drive Take a look around the site, find information or call us if you need more. We are now open daily from 11am to 8pm. New in the snackbar, SoBe, Arizona, Fuze, Jones and Stewarts soda... plus Meatball Parm subs, bigger Cheesesteak subs, and Chicken Parm subs....We still have Smitties pretzels and we are now able to add Cajun, Garlic, Carribean Jerk or Old Bay seasoning to enhance the taste!
Hiking and Swimming: Gifford Pinchot State Park: A fifteen minute drive Gifford Pinchot State Park, a 2,338-acre full service park, is in northern York County along PA 177 between the towns of Rossville and Lewisberry. The park consists of reverting farm fields and wooded hillsides with the 340-acre Pinchot Lake serving as a prime attraction.
Pine Grove Furnace State Park: Laurel and Fuller Lakes A forty minute drive west of Mt. Holly Springs, South on Rt 34: Steeped in natural and historical features, the 696-acre Pine Grove Furnace State Park is in a beautiful mountain setting in southern Cumberland County. The two lakes in the park are the 25-acre Laurel Lake and the smaller Fuller Lake, which is 1.7-acre.
ALSO: TUMBLING RUN - You will find the entrance and parking 3.8 miles west of the Fuller Lake entrance. This hike up waterfalls is extraordinary in all seasons. Lower elevations accessable for all ages. Higher elevations not recommended for children under seven, due to steep rock climbing:
